Manuscript:
Include a hard copy of the manuscript. Have a cover page with the title of the story, your name, pen name (if applicable), and what genre your story is written in. The first page of your manuscript should start directly with the story. Do not include the title on the first page of the manuscript. Put page numbers on your manuscript starting with page one on the first page of the story (do not count your cover page as page one). The manuscript should be doubled spaced and 12 point font. These manuscripts should be short stories, which means that they can be as short as the author wants but no longer than 50 pages or 15,000 words. Provide an electronic version of your manuscript (burned on a CD or saved on a 3X5 diskette). Have your electronic manuscript labeled with your name, pen name (if applicable), and title of story.
Submission Form:
Include a completed and signed submission form. If any part of the submission form is not completed (except the “if applicable” portions) or signed, Heliand Publishing will not accept the submission(s). There is only three submission allowed per submission form. If you have more than three submissions, fill out another form. If you want a guaranteed response to submitted work, include a self addressed, stamped envelope. Heliand Publishing is under no obligation to contact you regarding your submissions if your work is not considered for posting online.
